This would have been quite a fashionable mix to air about 3 years ago, but the day of ‘Alt Disco’ seems to have come and gone for the trend concious record buyer, leaving it open for those of us who just enjoy a good record. As there where so many great tracks recorded at Compass Point its safe to say I will be revisiting this again in the future – looking at the track list I can’t believe I managed to leave out a Grace Jones vocal cut, that needs to be rectified. There are two great Compass Point comps out there, the Compass Point All Stars one on Strut and Island’s Grace Jones retrospective. Tom Tom Club’s first album is also available in extended format, and Cristinas album is available as a download at least. All essential stuff.
